Glendale Accident Leaves Motorcyclist Dead
Impairment may have been a factor in a Glendale accident that left a motorcyclist dead Sunday night.
Around 7 p.m., Glendale police were called to 67th and Missouri avenues after a man driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee rear-ended a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Jeep attempted to flee the scene but his vehicle was stopped after it collided with another vehicle. The driver then exited the Jeep and began fleeing on foot when he was stopped by witnesses until police arrived. The driver was transported to a local hospital and will be taken into custody upon release.
