Anthem Motorcyclist Dragged by Car

A 39-year-old motorcyclist was flown to a hospital in critical condition after being hit and dragged by a car Monday night in Anthem. The motorcycle driver was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Interstate 17 and Anthem Way when he was rear ended by a 41-year-old driving a car at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses told authorities the motorcyclist was dragged by the car for approximately 20 feet, and the bike was dragged even further. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital but was in less severe condition. Alcohol may have been a factor.
