Northern Arizona Man Charged with Second Degree Murder after Fatal Accident on the I-10
A northern Arizona man is accused of second-degree murder and other crimes in a fatal accident that forced the closure of part of Interstate 10 in Phoenix for about five hours on Sunday.
The Department of Public Safety says Joshua Bia, 26, of Chinle was arrested in connection with a Sunday morning accident that claimed the life of Krystie Johnson, 28, of Phoenix.
According to DPS spokesman Bia was driving well over the speed limit and swerving through traffic before he collided with a pickup truck in which Johnson was a passenger. She was ejected. Investigators believe Bia was impaired but there is no further information at this time.
