A 12-year-old boy was flown from Glendale to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in critical condition Tuesday evening after a crash when he was riding his bicycle. Police responded to a 911 call about a silver sedan striking a boy on a bicycle near 45th Avenue and Mountain View Road shortly before 7 p.m.
Witnesses told police that the car fled the scene, traveling west on Mountain View Road.
Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he was flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The accident is still under investigation and detectives are searching for the silver sedan. Authorities do not have a description of the driver at this time.
