According to Phoenix Police Department Spokesman Sergeant Steve Martos, twenty-year-old Angelo Wright died after a car attempted to turn left in front of him while he was riding his motorcycle. The accident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive.
According to Sergeant Martos, Police responding to the accident were told that the motorcyclist was injured and his bike was on fire.
At the scene of the accident, Police learned that the eighty-four-year old female driver of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Rabbit, failed to yield to Mr. Wright causing the collision.
Mr. Wright was transported to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
