A woman, who has not yet been identified, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday evening in Phoenix. The victim, who was approximately forty-years-old (40), was walking east on Northern Avenue near 11th Street at about five p.m. when the vehicle jumped the curb and crashed into her. According to Phoenix Police Sergeant Trent Crump, the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in extremely critical condition where she died early Monday morning. At the time of the accident, the victim was walking with a second woman, who was not injured. According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle was a middle-aged man driving a red convertible; possibly a Fiat. According to Police, the mirror from the passenger side door was located at the scene, and the vehicle will likely have extensive damage to the passenger side.
