On Thursday morning, twenty-year-old (20) Tylor Krabbe was killed in a car accident when his vehicle left the road and rolled down into a ravine in the Lake Mead National Recreation area near Lake Mohave. According to Police, the accident occurred on Thursday between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. At approximately 4:30 a.m., a visitor in the area reported observing debris on the road near the accident, and a park employee discovered the accident at approximately 6 a.m. Mr. Krabbe was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas where he later died of his injuries. A nineteen-year-old (19) passenger in the vehicle was also transported to a nearby hospital. According to Police, containers of alcohol were found at the scene and accident reconstruction showed the vehicle was traveling more than 75 mph in an area with a speed limit of 45 mph indicating that alcohol and speed were factors in the accident. The Arizona Department of Public Safety and the National Park Service are investigating the accident.
