Mother and Daughter Hit by SUV while Crossing the Street

On Monday around 1 p.m., a woman and her four-year-old (4) daughter were struck by an SUV as they were crossing in the crosswalk at 90th Street and Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale.  According to Police, the woman was pushing her daughter in a stroller at the time of the accident.  Police said the woman and her daughter were crossing Shea from north to south when the traffic light turned green for the SUV heading eastbound.   Officers said the mother was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center, and her daughter was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  According to Officers, neither of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.  Officers further said that they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
