On February 18, 2011, a four-year-old boy died from head trauma when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was riding rolled outside of Casa Grande, Arizona. According to Pinal County spokesman Tim Gaffney, a woman was driving the ATV with her five-year-old niece and four-year-old nephew seated in front of her. The crash occurred when the woman lost control of the ATV causing it to roll. As the ATV rolled, all three people were thrown off. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman and girl were taken to a hospital in Phoenix to have their injuries treated. The Pinal County Sherriff’s Office investigated the accident.
